Are you a real-life Barbie?
Barbie has been a fashion icon for young girls since her launch in 1959. Fifty years on, she is celebrating her half-century anniversary and fashion designers around the world, such as Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Anna Sui and Calvin Klein, have all been asked to join in the fun by putting together some Barbie outfits.
The shows so far in New York and India have been a roaring success, and now the Mattel doll is set to headline Dubai Fashion Week too.
Local designers including Ayesha Depala, Sohad Acouri and HSY, are currently working on Barbie-inspired designs, which will be showcased on the runway at the DFW finale show on October 29.
In celebration of the upcoming DFW Barbie show, 7DAYS wants to find the UAE’s very own ‘real-life Barbie’. Is it you?
