Thousands of counterfeit IT products have been seized by Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) and Sharjah Police.

The fakes - labelled with the HP trademark - were found at a villa in Al Jazat.

Ali Fadhil, from the Dispute Resolution Division at the SEDD, said: “The counterfeiters were thoroughly questioned to establish the sources of the counterfeit products.”

The counterfeit products seized  included 1,939 HP stickers, 821,252 empty HP boxes and associated packaging, and 14,668 empty printer ink cartridges, as well as various other products used in printing.

The goods (pictured) will be destroyed once legal procedures have been completed.
