Two Bangladeshi pimps have been accused of torturing a man they suspected of being a police source.
The men, aged 30 and 32, allegedly beat him with a hammer, stubbed cigarettes out on his body, stripped him of his clothes and left him in a freezing cold room.
The police claim the pair kidnapped the 28-year-old Bangladeshi victim from a grocery shop in Naif. They gagged and blindfolded him and then drove him to a villa in Sharjah, the police added.
The men deny kidnap and torture and the case has been adjourned.
