Meals will be distributed to motorists shortly before iftar during Ramadan to discourage them from speeding on their way home.
The plan is part of a number of proposals developed by Abu Dhabi Police as the force gears up for the holy month.
The police are also organising an awareness campaign highlighting the dangers of fireworks and another about begging.
The force has said up a hotline to report begging on 800 2626.
