A man who sold the house he was renting for dhs8 million was caught out when he tried to transfer the cash to an account in Dubai.
The defendant, who is due to be sentenced for the crime later this month, moved into the house in South Kensington, London, using a false name. He then put the house on the market and set up a false account in his landlord’s name.
After he sold it, he tried to transfer the money to Dubai, but bank staff spotted his ID was fake.
